Greeting Card Keepsake

Hello Readers!
Today I spent a little time in the craft room trying to do one of the many projects I have on my list! I found the inspiration for this Greeting Card Keepsake on Pinterest (of course!). There are several ways I think you could do this project but I found one way that I liked best and tried it out myself. Here's how it turned out!
Pretty clever idea! And very easy to make! Now I have several more to do... Better get back to work!
Thanks for reading :)

Update! 1-25-12  I finished all of my Greeting Card Keepsakes today! They turned out super cute too!

Grammy's Goodies

Here's a little tongue twister for you
Ok, that's a little silly. But really, my Mom is very creative and she really loves to sew.

That's me and my Mom on my wedding day!

As soon as we knew we were expecting a baby girl, she was coming up with different things we could make for the baby.  It started with Greer's bedding... I wanted something original. So my Mom made all this bedding "from scratch."

Now, she is making the greatest swaddle blankets (she calls them "Snuggles") you can imagine. Not only are they soft and snuggly, but they are in super cute patterns. The great thing is that she wants to share them with the world!
Here's our girl snug as a bug in a rug in her "I love Grandma" Snuggle blanket!

Check back here to see her latest "Snuggles" and get one (or a bunch) for your little one!
Guess What!?! Grammy is making Nursing Pads now too!

To order or make a request, send an email to GrammysGoodies29@gmail.com

We have many patterns to choose from...

SOLD!
For twins Piper and Aubrey!
(Personalization of Snuggles is available)

The Power of Pinterest!

Hello readers! Recently I wrote about my pregnancy and shared a collage of pics Bobby and I took of my growing belly. I am pretty impressed by how the collage turned out, seeing that it was just something we did in the guest bedroom of our house. I edited it myself using picnik.com.
Well yesterday, I decided to pin my collage to share with the Pinterest world... Feeling a little self-conscience of pinning pictures of myself, I asked my Mom, Aunt Shari and cousin Katy Jo for support by liking it, repinning it or commenting on it. So they did.

Here's my pin on the "Explore" page of Pinterest! Cool!

But little did I know that in the next day that collage would be repinned over 1000 times! And this little blog that had a whopping 11 views on Sunday has had close to 10,000 in less than 36 hours! The power of Pinterest is pretty amazing! So to all my viewers new and old... Thanks for looking and I hope to entertain you and interest you with "The Details" of our lives!

(New) Normal

Hello!
It's the first non-holiday weekend of the year and I'm starting to feel like we are getting back to normal. Well a new normal. Bobby is golfing = Normal, Baby Greer is sleeping = New Normal. It's funny to think that now there are 3 people that live in our home!
So now that I have a little time to myself, I thought I'd try to *quickly* catch up on the blog!
The last event I blogged about was Thanksgiving and our upcoming C-section. So I guess that's where I'll start!
We spent the last few days after Thanksgiving getting ready for our trip to the hospital. Then Tuesday morning, 11-29-11, came and we were all buzzing with excitement. Our bags were packed and we were on our way!

Me, Bobby and my Mom got to the hospital to check in at 8. Shortly after, Bobby's parents and my Aunt Shari and cousin Katy Jo came to the hospital too. Once we got to our room, the nurse started prepping us for surgery, everything seemed fine until they went to put in my IV. That's when the tears started... it hurt so badly, I just couldn't hold it in. Unfortunately, the tears did not stop until much, much later. In fact, I think I cried for about 3 or 4 hours straight. Oh dear. : /
Anyhoo, maybe we can speed through the next few parts since it's all pretty much just me blubbering... blubbering... blubbering...
...and then at 10:47 am, our little girl was here!!!
(Still crying but a different kind of tears now)
After all of the procedures in the nursery, Greer and our whole family were back in our room and everything started getting back to normal again... well a new normal, that is!

What a journey the last 10 months has been...
...and what a journey we are beginning now!

Welcome Greer Paisley!
