Grammy's Sew Great!

My Mom has been busy sewing some super cute stuff for Greer! She recently made this adorable dress and thought it seemed like something that lots of people would like, so she made some to sell! They are $25 (plus shipping). It can be worn as a dress for infants/toddlers or a tunic/shirt for girls. Leave a comment if you are interested!

Spring is here!

Yay! Spring has sprung! Today was such a beautiful day! It was perfect for a little Matilda Jane party followed by a trip to the duck pond :)
The party was set up on our deck. It was nice to relax and shop in my own backyard! Katy Jo got an adorable dress, that she got to keep right off the rack! So we decided to take advantage of the moment and get a picture of us girls in our Matilda Jane outfits!
After the party was over, we decided to head over to the duck pond to continue enjoying the beautiful day! Greer was very excited to feed the ducks, but one duck was too good for our bread and Greer didn't understand that... So she decided to follow it around hoping it would eat the bread!

Weekend Fun!

Hello!
Over the last few weekends we have had some fun adventures! We have been to the park, to the duck pond and this weekend we are visiting family! Here are some pictures I have been able to capture...
Also, I'm having a Matilda Jane party in a few weeks, so I had to show off my girl in some of her new MJ clothes! So cute!
Last, while going through some pictures today, my grandma found one of me when I was close to Greer's age... She just couldn't stop talking about that picture and the similarities it shows that Greer and I have. We tried our best to get a side-by-side. Greer was a little confused, but I think it shows what Grandma was talking about! :)

Thinking about you...

It's Sunday. Greer is napping. Bobby and I are sitting on the couch, relaxing. And I'm thinking about our blog. I haven't been keeping up with posts like I would like to... I hope to get better at that. For now, I just wanted to post something to say, "hi, I'm thinking about you!"

Happy Birthday Greer!

I know, I know... Where have we been?!?! Well I guess I'll just say, the dust has settled.
Our last post was in early July. Here's an abbreviated version of what we've been up to since then...
July- spending my last days as a "stay-at-home-Mom" and getting our girl ready for Daycare!
August- Greer starts daycare, new school year begins.
September- Football season. (It consumes every weekend!)
October- Halloween parties, Fall fesitvals and football.
 November- Greer's Birthday preparation! (and football.)
And here we are! The dust has settled. (Although, it's picking back up with Christmas fast approaching!)
We had so much fun celebrating Greer's 1st Birthday, that I have too many pictures to just post on facebook!
I wasn't sure that I wanted to do a whole lot for her birthday. But once I decided we would have a party... pinterest struck! And a simple party was out the window. And then we decided it would be easier to celebrate with family on Thanksgiving, seeing that they would already be coming anyway! But we also wanted to celebrate with friends... sOoOoOo, 2 parties it is! Whew! Anyway, here are some of my favorite pics from Greer's celebration(s). Enjoy!

Red, White and Boo!

Alright. I'm finally blogging. (It's from my iPhone but it still counts!)
Bobby is out of town so I've been cleaning, doing laundry, running errands. But I'm a little bored of that. I'm also running out of stuff to watch from my DVR. So while Greer was napping today I decided to try to do some of the things I've been meaning to do... Lol.
So I edited our pictures from the July 3rd festivities at the bandshell on campus! It was such a fun event! We were a little worried about how Greer would react to the fireworks but she surprised us by sitting and watching in awe. Not one little whimper came out of her! Check out the pics from the evening...

Greer starts daycare in less than a month! Woah! There's a whole list of things that we'll have to do before she starts, one thing we need is to bring her own crib sheet. Now if you know me, you know she's not just going to be sleeping on a plain white sheet. I have to fancy it up somehow. So I decided, what would be cuter {and easier} than a notebook paper sheet. So that's what I made! I'm not quite finished though. I'm going to appliqué her name at the top and probably add a few doodles! I'm excited for the final product but here's what I've got so far!

And last but definitely not least, because this is probably my favorite video of all time... We have been playing peek-a-boo with Greer for a couple weeks and today she decided that she wanted to play! Luckily I had my phone in my hand so I could catch this cuteness on camera!

Greer's New Sound

Not really posting now.  Although I have lots to share, it's been a super busy summer and I haven't barely had a breath to spare! I just wanted to share this adorable video I got of Greer and me! She is growing so fast and is becoming quite a funny little girl! Check it out!

Butterfly Rainforest

This weekend we had family visiting so we decided to take them to the Butterfly Rainforest at UF.  Little did we know, it would be so much fun for Greer! She was so interested in all the butterflies! Another UF Alum!

Well... I've been called out for slacking on the blog! I know, I know! The good news is there are only 10 days left of school and Summer is just around the corner. So hopefully, that will bring more blogging!

So anyway, a couple weeks ago my cousin J.T. graduated from Florida! How exciting to reach such a big goal in your life! We are so proud of you T! And we're excited for what's to come as you enter (dun, dun, dun...) the real world!

A {blustery} Day at the Beach

Hello!

I just wanted to do a quick update... Last weekend, we went to St. Augustine for Greer's first adventure at the beach! Unfortunately, the weather was not great :( It was very windy and a little cool so Greer was pretty miserable... We really only stayed out there for about 30-45 minutes. But it was just long enough to get a few pictures! Enjoy!

What a difference a year makes! This year, Easter marked the end of my maternity leave (and the beginning of the countdown to summer!) And although that little bitty gray cloud loomed over us, we had a fun time searching for "hard to find" eggs and playing together at the ranch! Check out the pics to see more!
