A {blustery} Day at the Beach

Hello!
I just wanted to do a quick update... Last weekend, we went to St. Augustine for Greer's first adventure at the beach! Unfortunately, the weather was not great :( It was very windy and a little cool so Greer was pretty miserable... We really only stayed out there for about 30-45 minutes. But it was just long enough to get a few pictures! Enjoy!

Towel Creations

Hi!
I planned on wrapping up my cruise posts a while ago however, a virus attacked my computer and I almost lost everything! YIKES! Bobby got everything back to good though, so here I am! Each day on the cruise I looked forward to finding our towel creation when we would go back to our room.  Here are some pics of the creations.
Day 1: Not sure what this is... :)

Day 2: Pretty sure this one is a crab!

Day 3: The Carnival Mascot. The Elephant!

Day 4: The Pig

Day 5: Possibly a Lemur... pretty cool whatever it was!

Day 6: Maybe some kind of cat?

Day 7: A flower.

All week I had been looking forward to the Towel Folding Class/Demonstration. They final had it on our last day sailing!

The Dog. Made by Yours Truly!

Snuck a pic on our own camera with the Carnival Mascot! So cute!

My Elephant!

Thanks for looking!

St. Maarten and Fun Days

Hi again!
So we've shared pics from Nassau and St. Thomas. We had one more stop on our cruise--St. Maarten. We didn't do much other than lay in the sun so I've also included pics from our last days on the ship too!
Enjoy!

St. Thomas

Our next stop was the beautiful island of St. Thomas. The girls secured a great deal with a local 'taxi' driver, really a monster garage type taxi, who took us all over the island on a tour, to Magens Bay, and to downtown St. Thomas for shopping. Here are some pictures of our day....

Anyway, Bobby and I spent our Spring Break on the Carnival Dream! It was very fun and we took TONS of pics! I'm planning on sharing some of the pics each day... So without further ado, here are our pics from the first day on board!

New Years in The Big Easy

It's 2011!!! WOW!
Earlier this year we visited our friends Jase and Lindsey in Alabama for the Gator Game. That trip ended up being the beginning of a pretty bad football season but the beginning of a fun friendship! That weekend we all decided to make plans to go somewhere really fun for New Years together. After discussing a few different places, we ended up deciding on spending the New Year in New Orleans!
Instead of putting allllll my pics up individually, I put them all in a slideshow for easy viewing! But a few highlights to check out are:
- Cafe Du Monde and the awesome Beignets
- Our Beautiful Hotel, Hotel St. Marie, which was not even a block from Bourbon St.!
- Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's house!
- The House of the Rising Sun
- The Winter Wonderland Walkway at the Roosevelt Hotel where we ate dinner on New Year's Eve!
- The Saint Louis Cathedral at night
- The many Street Performers

The Wizarding World

of Harry Potter!!!
I'm so excited to tell you that last weekend we visited Islands of Adventure in Orlando which means we got to go to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter!!! Lately, we have been in the Harry Potter mood after renting The Half-Blood Prince and heading to the theater to see The Deathly Hallows.  Both movies were SO good, it just made us that much more excited!
The park was very busy and the lines to get into The Wizarding World were eXtReMeLy long, as well as the lines to get into the shops.  I only went into HoneyDukes, the candy shop. I really wanted to go into Olivander's Wand Shop but I couldn't even find the end of that line!  So without further ado, here are some of the pics I took at the park...
The Hogwarts Express

Butterbeer! It's Delicious!!!

Fritz and Heidi after riding The Flight of the Hippogriff.

Bobby and I on The Flight of the Hippogriff.

Here are more pics from The Wizarding World!

Here are some of the pics from the rest of the park!

Viva NashVegas!

Hey y'all!
Last weekend we took a little road trip to Nashville to watch the Gators actually win a game...
We won't go there.
This trip is by far my most favorite Away Game trip EVER!
Also, I just discovered a super cool website for photo editing called picnik.com, so I had a little fun with some of the pics!  You can do things like; enhance colors, add clip art, add text, whiten teeth, change to 1960's photo, and much, much more! Here are my favorites from the weekend...
One thing that I had been looking forward to since we were last in Nashville!
(p.s. knife and fork are clip art) :)

Shopping Broadway...

I spotted a celeb! Danny Gokey from American Idol!

Heading out for some Friday Night Fun!!!

Of course, the boys had to wear their mustaches out...
(thanks picnik) :)

We ended up at Robert's Western World!

We had to buy T-shirts!!!
(LOVE the 1960s coloring!)

Saturday night we did some line dancing at the Wild Horse Saloon! So FUN!!!

We all had a blast and were glad to meet up in an awesome place like Nashville!

Here are the rest of the pics from the trip! Enjoy, we sure did!!!

Gamecocks & Gators

Hey Friends!
Last weekend we drove to Alabama. The trip was Super Exciting and Super Sad... Here's the story:
For as long as I've known Bobby, I've wished I had known him during his college years.  For no other reason other than I would have l-o-v-e-LOVED to see him pitch and sit in the stands cheering for the 2-9! Well, of course this was basically just a dream until he received an invite to the JSU Alumni Baseball Game! Although it had been a while since he'd thrown, I didn't care! :)  We had already been planning on heading to Alabama for the UF/ Bama game, so it worked out perfectly!
We stayed in Birmingham with one of Bobby's college buddies, Jase and his wife, Lindsey.  So we drove to Jacksonville Saturday morning for some Baseball!  Here are some pics from it.

Heading in to the field...

Bobby and Coach Case

Coach cleared the locker room for me to be able to come in and check out Bobby's photo.
The team was selling shirts, hats and old jerseys! I found the jersey that Bobby is wearing in this picture and bought it! YAY!

Batting Practice

He hit one outta the park!

Ready for the game!

The Alumni

Exactly what I've been waiting for :)

Bobby took a tumble trying to make a play and ended up with a swollen leg and a bag of ice on it...

After the ball game we headed back to Birmingham to change from our Gamecock Red to our Gator Orange and Blue.  This is pretty much the last happy picture we took in Tuscaloosa...
The good news is we really enjoyed hanging with Jase and Lindsey! Can't wait to see them again very soon!

Thanks for reading... Hopefully the Gators will give something to cheer about this weekend!
