HELLOooooo out there!
Boy has it been a busy month! We're sad it's taken this long to post but we've been busy with our new baby! :) The holidays have also kept us busy with crafting, shopping when we can find the time and wrapping presents! Hopefully jn the new year we'll be able to post more regularly. But until then we just wanted to say "We're still here!" (btw I'm posting now with the help of the awesome blogger app, straight from my iPhone!)
Happy New Year!

Give Thanks
Hello!
Did you have a nice Thanksgiving? We hope you did!
The last 2 weeks have been very exciting for us and have given us a lot to be thankful for.
We found out that Greer is breech and had to schedule a C-section. We got lucky and were able to pick the date we have been hoping she'd arrive on all along; November 29th! That's this Tuesday! So this weekend we have been busy putting the last touches on Greer's room.
We also welcomed Greer's little Bestie, Brooke, on November 20th. We are so thankful for having such good friends, Fritz and Heidi, to experience the joys (insert a tad bit of sarcasm here) of pregnancy together!
We also hosted Thanksgiving at our house again this year. I love all the details of hosting an event and had fun using some of the ideas I have been seeing on Pinterest and Martha Stewart! Especially the Coffee Granita that was the easiest and yummiest dessert ever!
We hope you had a lot to be thankful for too! We know we will be counting our blessings this week!

Guys and Girls Baby Shower
Hi!
This past weekend my mom and my wonderful friends, Heidi and Heidi, threw Bobby and I a Baby Shower! It was a beautiful day and a really sweet time to celebrate with our closest friends! We got lots of fun and needed things for when Baby Greer arrives. We also got to see our friends sniffing "poopy" diapers and drinking from sippy cups, which was so fun! All in all, it was a very enjoyable day! Here are the pics we got from our Guys and Girls Shower! Enjoy!
I also want to share a couple pics from the Shower my school threw for me! They went all out with cutie tissue paper pom-poms and a special cake!

Fall Festivities: Part 2
Hello again! Time for more about our Festive Fall.
This weekend was our Annual Halloween party! This year we decided to make it easy on ourselves and not have a theme to the party and costumes. So a few months ago I saw a peacock costume on Pinterest and decided that was what I wanted to be! Just a couple weeks ago Bobby decided he wanted to be Edward Scissorhands so I got to thinking about that... and I think we pulled both off pretty well. I was lucky to come across a How-To video on YouTube for Edward's makeup! He looked pretty awesome if I do say so myself! After winning Best Costume last year as Elvis, he got hooked on the feeling and set his sights on the same this year. And guess what? He won it again! Although Edward's costume was pretty awesome, there were lots of fun ideas this year...

You can do all kinds of things like add ghosts, lightning, and spider webs to your photos. You can also make your pictures look like they are from a scary movie or "ghostify" them! Enjoy! 2010: Theme:Hollywood, Holly Golightly and Elvis 2009: Theme: Make Your Own Costume, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson 2008: Theme: Heroes and Villians, Superman and Wonder Woman 2007: Theme: Dynamic Duos, Danny and Sandy from Grease |

Fall Festivities: Part 1
Hello!
I'm glad to be here, finally posting something again! I'm finding my blog posts are becoming fewer, and farther between... (I know, it's probably just going to become less frequent once little miss greer arrives!) Anyway, the Fall Season proves to be very busy with all kinds of fun to prepare for. Last weekend, I got to celebrate my good friend Heidi's upcoming little girl. Heidi is due 2 weeks before I am, and we have had so much to talk about during the last 7 month. It's been fun up to this point, and I'm sure the fun will continue once our little ones get here!
In preparation for Heidi's shower, my creative bone got to twitching and I created a few projects for her, including some holiday outfits for her little one and a pillow case to brighten up her upcoming hospital stay! So without further ado, her are some pictures from Heidi's shower...

Baby Shower Brunch
Hello!
This weekend was my Family Baby Shower. My Mom, Aunt Julie, cousins and BFF, Kelly, helped put on a wOnDeRfUl party!!! The party was decorated with all kinds of Heidi Grace stuff, which is what Greer's room is decorated with. Also, the invitations for the party included a plain white onesie to be decorated and brought to the party for a onesie contest! The party was such a great time to visit with the most special people in our lives and to prepare for upcoming little bundle of joy! Ok, now I'm going to let the pictures do the talking! Enjoy!

Bobby's 30th Birthday!
Happy Labor Day Friends!
Having the day off has given me a chance to get updated on our blog! Hopefully now that school is in full swing and my days are becoming a little more predictable, I'll be able to blog more frequently :)
Last weekend we celebrated Bobby's 30th birthday! What a milestone! I had seen an idea on pinterest for a "30 Sucks" theme and decided to go with it. Once I set my mind on that theme, I knew the perfect picture to put on our invitation...

Yup... that's my hubby :)
Anyway, once I decided to use that picture, I figured it would be really fun to try and cover 30 years with 30 pictures spanning Bobby's life. Here are some pics of how everything turned out and our little Birthday BBQ. Enjoy!Free slideshow created with Smilebox |

Back to School
The time has come to go back to school. My summer is over. Ho Hum. ;)
But really, I'm excited about this school year! We have some new things going on at school which should make it interesting. I have new students to get to know. Also, the start of the school year means the start of the countdown to Greer! Anyway, here are a few pics of some things from around the room.

I've had the same Bulletin Board for my rules for the last 5 years. It definitely wasn't as cute as this either!
I really wanted to do something with birdies this year!
Our school is implementing a new behavior system this year. This is my behavior chart. I have to give all the credit to one of our cutie, newbie teachers. I totally copied her!
My Gator Graph usually goes in the spot where the Behavior Chart is now. So it's got a new spot now!

Grandma Shower
Hello!
Well the end of my summer is here... I'm a little sad to see it go but also excited for a new year to begin. I'm also excited to start the countdown to our Baby Greer!
Last weekend, I went down to Dade City for my Mom's Grandma Shower. Have you heard of these? They are a pretty new idea but such a great one! It's a way to celebrate a New Grandma and to help prepare her for her up-coming Grandbaby. There are so many things that baby needs and it's nice for some things to already be at Grandma's house when traveling! My Mom has loved owls for quite sometime now, so all the cutie owl things that are out right now made it easy to plan and buy the perfect stuff! Here are the pics I took at the shower! Enjoy and thanks for reading!

The Signs are Everywhere
Hello Friends!
I can't believe the summer is coming to an end... Just 2 more weeks and I'll be back at school, getting ready for another year! I hope to get a lot done during the rest of the time that I have. But it's going to be a lot of work seeing that this is what our little girl's room looks like right now...
YIKES! Speaking of our little girl, I think it's time we start calling her by her name!
If you know me, you know that I'm a planner. So Bobby and I have had names picked out for our baby for a lOoOoOng time! All we needed to do was find out if it would be the boy name or girl name we liked. So now that we know it's a little girl we can start calling her...
It was so easy to pick the name Greer! Bobby's Grandmother's name was Virginia Greer and his sister, Melissa's, name was Melissa Greer (before she took Wynns as her middle name)! We loved the name for our little girl and it was done. In case you're wondering, her middle name is Paisley which I have heard a few different times as a name and love that it adds a little creative flair! So, the weird thing is that I just knew that when we went to find out if we were having a boy or girl, it would be a girl. I didn't really let on, because I didn't want to jinx myself or be embarrassed if I was wrong. How did I know, you ask? Well, it was just a feeling but also, the signs were EVERYWHERE! Let me explain...
We started "shopping" online and created a registry on amazon.com pretty early on, just to kind of get a head start. Of course, we had boy things and girl things on our list. As we started shopping for strollers, I found one that I really liked, the Graco Alano in pink and black... in fact when I looked closer at the different color choices I noticed the actual pattern is called "Greer!" Ok, that's really funny!
Then, a few weeks went by and we finally spilled the beans to our families and put the news on our blog. After the news had been up on the blog for a while I went back to look at the post I had written and I noticed someone from Greer, SC had been on our blog... Um, ok. Kinda weird!
Then, I called my Mom-- who was heading to our family's cabin in NC for vacation-- to tell her about that and before I could get it out of my mouth she said, "I just turned the t.v. on at the cabin and there was a commercial for a car dealership in Greer!" I just couldn't help but laugh!
Then, last but not least, when we were in Destin for 4th of July weekend Bobby noticed the beach house around the corner from us had a sign on it... guess what it said?!?! "The Greers'"
Now, if that's not some crazy stuff, I don't know what is...

It's a...
...GIRL!!!
Last Monday we had our 19 week Ultrasound and after much speculation, we found out we have a little girl! We are so very excited! We wanted to share some of the pics from the appointment. Enjoy!
Here are her little feet that like to kick!
This is her profile, notice her little fist above her head! "YEAH!"
This is my favorite picture of her... I love how she looks like she's just lounging... It also looks like she's got my long, skinny legs!

Boy or Girl?
So, just to have a little fun we've tried all kinds of different methods to predict if we're gonna see a little boy or a little girl on that sonogram screen on Monday! The first thing we did was check out the Chinese Gender Chart...
We've also put out a poll on our blog to see what our friends and family are feeling... Although we've only got 18 votes, the results are GIRL by a lot!
According to this ancient legend we're having a BOY!
We've also put out a poll on our blog to see what our friends and family are feeling... Although we've only got 18 votes, the results are GIRL by a lot!
This predictor was a little more "in the middle." I found this "Old Wives Tales" test online and it says we are having a GIRL!
Our last predictor is a tradition in my family. Whenever someone is pregnant in our family my Uncle Johnny does the Nail-on-a-String Pendulum. Hold the nail over the belly. If the nail swings in a circle-- it's a girl. if it sways back and forth-- it's a boy. His record is pretty impressive-- correct 18 out of 20 tests!
So we had him perform the pendulum predictor on me and our results were circle! GIRL!
As a little side note my Uncle usually hangs the nail over the person's head to show that it will swing in the correct motion. So I did the test over Bobby, and sure enough it swayed back and forth. Funny, huh!?!
So those are the results of our silly predictor tests... We know that they could be tOtAlLy WrOnG. But luckily we'll find out the real answer tomorrow!
Maybe a Girl, Maybe a Boy, Definitely LOVED!

4th of July
Hi friends!
Did you enjoy your holiday? We had a great time at the beach with friends! Bobby and I drove to Destin on Friday to enjoy the weekend with our friends Jase and Lindsey from Alabama. Saturday we got a rental boat and took it out to Crab Island. Sunday we went to the beach and dinner. It was a perfect little weekend to visit with friends and enjoy the Summer!
Back in Gainesville, my Mom, Aunt Shari and Katy Jo met up at my house to do a little visiting. So Bobby and I headed back from Destin. We got back to Gainesville just in time for some burgers off the grill and a few fireworks! Here are some pics from the weekend! Enjoy!

A Big Announcement
I know I'm really behind on posting these pics... to be honest I kinda forgot about them! But I have to share how we announced our pregnancy to our families! I had been reading up on creative ways to spill the beans but none of the ideas really impressed me until I came across this idea! Get all the people you want to tell the big news to together for a picture. Then have the person who is behind the camera say, "Alright, everyone say _______'s pregnant!" So that is what we decided to do.
The perfect opportunity to tell both families was Easter weekend. So we got together with some of my family on Saturday and broke the news... Here's how the pictures turned out.
Another exciting event that evening was my AwEsOmE cousin Johnny's graduation! We were all so proud of him! Here are a few pics...
The next day we headed to see the Wynns side of the fam. We decided it would be good to use the sport mode of the camera because it takes multiple pictures in a row. So here's how those pics turned out...
So that's how we spread the word of our exciting news! As you can see, I was jumping for joy!
Thanks for reading!
