Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Today was very fun in my classroom. The Leprechaun came to visit and left a big mess as he was looking for gold! But the fun started earlier this week when I bought a Shamrock plant. Everyday, I share a "Did you know?" fact about the holiday with my students. Tuesday's fact was that for every 10,000 3-leaf clovers there is only 1 4-leaf clover! They are very rare and therefore considered lucky!!! That afternoon I drove by a local nursery and saw that they were selling Shamrock plants. I knew the kids would love it, so I made my purchase! After looking at it, I spotted a 4-leaf clover!!! COOL! I brought it to school the next day to show the kids and they all want to touch it so they could be lucky! We are going to plant the Shamrock plant in our garden so maybe we can grow another one next year. Here are some pics from the day...As the kids walked up to the classroom they noticed a rainbow leading to our door!
The Leprechaun's footprints and the work he threw on the floor.
More footprints on our Lucky Charms graph activity we did earlier that day! The kids were so shocked that the Leprechaun was on their desks!
The Leprechaun's message.
The gold that he left when he was running through our room!
Our Shamrock plant.
Our lucky 4-leaf clover!
This evening Bobby wanted to celebrate a little so he made himself a green beverage.
Cheers! Hope your days was filled with Luck!
